Who are we?
The Porirua Healthy Safer City Trust is your local Safer Community Council.
The Trust (a Registered Member of the Charities Commission) was established in 1993. PHSCT has 13 Trustees and seven employees.
What do we do?
Porirua Healthy Safer City Trust (PHSCT) works in the area of community safety and undertakes project work such as “Safer Streets”, issues around Alcohol, Family Violence and wider strategic safety issues that impact on the Porirua Community.
The Trust plays a varied role – governance, advocacy and project work within local networks such as the Porirua Community Family Violence Prevention Network, the Porirua Alcohol and Drug Cluster and Safer Porirua.
How can we help you?
PHSCT currently provides professional management for groups such as the Waitangirua Action Group and the Porirua Community Guardians.
The Trust also acts as a fund holder providing financial accountability for a number of organisations in Porirua City – such as the Youth Services Forum and Strengthening Families.
