What do we do?

Runs road safety projects and programmes in response to local road safety issues.

How can we help you?

The PCC co-ordinator works with the following groups:

  • Porirua Language Project by supplying resources and explaining any specialist questions that may come up
  • Te Akamata’anga Ou
  • Waitangirua Apolistic Church
  • AOG Church
  • North City Viking community
  • Takapuwahia Marae and Hongoeka Marae
  • Waitangirua Youth Programme
  • Safe with Age-mature drivers programme

The co-ordinator also runs the following programmes:

  • Pedestrian programme with local community group
  • Project Corner Control
  • Community Learner Licence project
  • Code Red (awareness raising media campaign)
  • Street Talk - a defensive driving course for people under 25 years old
