This page describes the advice Council can provide to owners of cultural and historic heritage sites.

Historic and cultural heritage is not just buildings and structures, but it also includes sites and places that have cultural or historic importance. These can include places where historic events occurred, places with special significance to tangata whenua, or places associated with past human activities.

Council is able to provide advice to owners of cultural and historic heritage sites, and these owners may also be eligible for heritage grants. Information and advice is also available from:
