Natural Heritage Site Owners
This page describes the work Porirua City Council is doing with landowners to protect our natural heritage sites.
Porirua's natural heritage is varied and is important. Natural heritage can include features, wetlands, bush remnants, or coastal ecosystems. Our City's natural heritage is important for the area's bio-diversity, and as habitat for important native flora and fauna.
Porirua City Council works with a number of landowners on a catchment basis. This work is a part of implementing the Pauatahanui Inlet Action Plan. Porirua City Council's Biodiversity Officer may also be able to provide advice to landowners. The Biodiversity Officer can be contacted by calling Council on (04) 237 5089.
The QEII Trust offers a range of support and advice for owners of natural heritage sites.
