Proposed Review of Trade Waste Bylaw
All bylaws made under the authority of the Local Government Act 1974, and continued by section 293 of the Local government Act 2002 must be reviewed by 1st July 2008.
Council has reviewed the Part 20 - Trade Waste Bylaw of the Porirua City Council General Bylaw 1991 and proposes that the present bylaw be replaced by one modelled on the current New Zealand Standard for Trade Waste bylaws.
The proposal involves a consequential change to Schedule 6 of Wellington City Council Trade Waste Bylaw 2004, relating to the Northern Catchment of Wellington City.

Submissions
The submissions period closed on 18 January 2008.
As there were no submissions received during the submissions period the proposed bylaw Part 20 - Trade Waste of the Porirua City Council General Bylaw 1991 is currently in the process of being adopted by the Council.
