Emergency Committee
This page outlines the Terms of Reference, delegated authority and membership of the Council's Emergency Committee.
Terms of Reference
Function: to exercise all Council functions that cannot be exercised by the Council using its standard processes and procedures because of lack of a quorum of the full Council due to an unforeseen extreme event except for those that:
- have been delegated to staff
- cannot be delegated pursuant to Clause 32 of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 or pursuant to any other legislation.
Membership: all members of the Council
Quorum: two members
Delegated authority: authority to make decisions on all matters coming before the committee as described in the function section of this terms of reference.
